Pipe end plugs
To keep track of all pipe end plugs in an introductory text like this is very difficult. So we have around 30 different categories, all of which distinguish any functional changes of a pipe termination plug individually. And even if at first the different functions of a pipe plug do not sound really exciting, these are nevertheless very different and in the end also more than meaningful.
Two rough distinctions of pipe plugs
Let us begin in the approach thus that we explain first the two rough distinctions. So there are:
Hollow-cast models are correspondingly lighter and so they can be fitted to elements that are not too strong, such as thin curtain rods. The solid solid material is more resilient and is more suitable for attaching further anchors. Thus, drilling holes in solid material makes more sense.
Drilling holes in pipe end plugs
Speaking of drilling holes. The pipe end plugs do not always serve, as their name actually suggests, a complete closure of a pipe. So there are also models that are processed in the middle so that screws or rods can be attached to them. Basically, there are three different sizes of holes that we offer in the range for you:
A round hole is suitable for extensions in the form of rods or hooks, but also deco, etc. can be hooked through it without any problems. M10 (8.38 millimeters) describes the size of the thread, which can be used for a screw. M8 is correspondingly smaller with 6.65 millimeters internal thread.
Also the optics of a pipe plug must be right
If one is not concerned with the functionality of a pipe plug, but purely with the optics, our store offers a large selection of different variants. The ball tube knob or the pipe termination ball are, for example, a popular variant for curtain rods, but also slightly curved models have their flair.
With our half-round models made of solid material, it is also possible to use an M8 thread at a 45 degree angle. "Solid material", by the way, is stainless steel V2A, which is a rust-free and finely ground material that perfectly rounds off the pipe plug. Grain 240 provides a smooth and attractive surface by the certain fine grinding.
From a functional point of view, it is still worth mentioning that the many models of us are also partly available "with nose". This designation means that the pipe plug can be hammered in without any problems, without damaging the shape or appearance.
If you select the pipe plug to match the rod you also do not need to fear that this then does not hold. All models are designed so that they can be perfectly pressed into the rod and then develop the necessary grip to no longer fall off.
